Sophisticated Ladies

Hello Friends
I was totally ready to stamp this weekend! I was inspired by a set of Sophisticated Ladies cards by Linda Duke available at Rubbernecker. I saw her series of cards and immediately thought 'My mother would just love those!" so I had to work on my own version of sophisticated ladies cards.

Here are the first two. All my coloring was done with Copics or a combination of Copics and Twinkling H2O's. I added highlights of sparkle with Stickles... which was hard to show you in the pic.
The base layer on the Red and Gold card is a white gold metallic cardstock from Papertemptress that is just beautiful!

On the black, red and white card the base layer is a preprinted paper, I'm sorry the company info was cut off or I would share the source.
I have two more cards in this series that I'd like to share with you tomorrow!

Faux Stippled Twinks

Those rich shimmery little pots of watercolor paint... They are my favorite product... Twinkling H2O's by Luminarte Inc. I used teal zircon and ocean wave to create the faux stippling background from Technique Junkies issue Dec. '06. Once dry, I stamped my large snowflake with brilliant blue dye ink. The rick rack embellishment is blue velvet... just the right touch next to the shimmer background.

Wedding Card

My little sister is getting married this weekend. She is the last of my siblings to marry. It will be a very sweet wedding, I'm so looking forward to sharing this special day with her.
I wanted to give her a special card... the rose I used she picked herself for her wedding invitations. The coloring is all Twinkling H2O's. The base of the card is acetate stamped with white Staz-On ink.
