Today I want to share a project I made for a friend. The stamp image used is from Penny Black and colored with copic markers. It doesn't show very well in the photo but there is a soft buttery yellow airbrushed background. I used clear AtYou Spica pens to add a touches of 'light' to some of the highlights which I think really brings it to life.
The matte was dark blue until I altered it with Glimmer Mists (Cinnamon and Wild Currant) and Radiant Rain (Snapdragon). After I spritzed the colors on I used a sea sponge to keep the color from running in unwanted directions. Once dry, I sealed with a glossy sealer.
Here is a close up. The little butterfly isn't part of the stamp. It was added later to cover up a spot where I dropped my marker tip. Of course that boo-boo happened when I was close to finishing the image. Gotta love a good save!
Hope you have a mistake free stamping day!

WOWZER!! This is just gorgeous!! TFS! :)
Oh Kimm. . . . this is stunning! I don't know where you get all these incredible ideas from. Can you send some of your magic my way??? *Please* :D Did you layer a few pieces on the mail image? It looks like a leaf and a grape were layered on top. Gorgeous butterfly too! I really do LOVE this card!
Melissa, yes I did pop out a few pieces... the butterfly, some grapes and 2 leaf sections. I like the dimension:)
This whole piece will fit into an 8x10 frame. And thankyou!

This message is left long after I got this!! I didn't know you had it on your blog. I haven't looked at the blog in a few weeks. It is gorgeous her and very stunning IRL. I am looking for the perfect frame for it and already have a special place picked out. Thanks again.
